These are some of the patients we have helped with serious life threatening illnesses.  We have taken care of about 61 patients this year.  I will give the names only to protect their identity.

Sandra suffers from leukemia. Through generous discounts this patient is a cancer survivor. She needed medication with a cost of $4700.00 a month. Through this office we were able to get it donated for a year with the option to renew each year.

 

We are currently in the process of helping Oscar, 13 years of age. The patient has a cyst on the brain and requires a pediatric neurosurgeon.

 

Through the generosity of the Shriners Edgar was given a new prosthetic foot. He was born without the right foot.  About 3 years ago we helped him for the first time. As he grows he needs a new prosthesis.

 

Guilebaldo had kidney stones with medical bills over $3000 000.00. Through the generosity of important doctors in the community they reduced the cost and Casa de Mexico was able to cover his expenses. He had complications as they tried to take out the stones which caused him serious conditions.

 

For one year this office has arduously worked on locating a specialist in scoliosis for Eva, a young single mother with severe pains. We had to send her to Miami since the physician here informed us that the case was very severe and could only be seen by especially trained physicians. After calling all over the country a famous doctor in Missouri was able to recommend some wonderful doctor who had trained under him. This doctor is in Tampa and has kindly taken the case.
